Forgiveness

Life is like the Earth

Always changing

Growth, rebirth

Movement, rearranging.

People are like seasons

Some seem to linger, to last

But for whatever reason

Others quickly become past.

This reality can bring pain

Like when my big brother left

He made my sky turn to rain

My sunshine had been theft.

For years boiling anger I held

I couldn't understand

Attention was withheld

Why wouldn't he hold my hand?

It's been years

I'm no longer a child

Despite all the tears

I want to be reconciled.

I can see it all now

How he chooses to live

Only for myself I vow

That I will forgive.
