Foolish ...

Psalm 69:5 New English Translation (NET Bible)

O God, you are aware of my foolish sins;
my guilt is not hidden from you.

Living up to one’s own stupidity

Come on brother J., please give me an answer

Yes or no will do if that’s not too hard

No explanation needed just a strand of truth

Let us get it over with before it goes too far

What did you do? Come on you can tell me

I’ll keep it to myself so everyone will know

Haven’t I shown in part that I can be trusted?

I’ll be on your side right from the word go

Weighing consequences in my heart why to explain this?

Facts and fiction in either hand or a burden on my back

I just button up and act like I don’t know it

Why take a stand at all, knowing I get sacked?

My fallen nature won again, a dying life I live

Imprinted in my structure reflections of my death

What is left to give if I express a living lie?

In all things I do and say leaving me bereft
