Proverbs 22:11 New English Translation (NET Bible)

11 The one who loves a pure heart and whose speech is gracious—

the king will be his friend.

 

Miss-understood or are we now?

Is there a reason for that train of thought?

Could it be planted somewhere in the past?

Could it be self-deceived, almost like a fraud?

 

Strange what others see in me?

Is it true or simply fiction?

Could it somewhere outlast the one?

The one to be within my prediction

 

Let it go and reach out for purity

In heart, in thought, and quiet action

Although possibly misunderstood in part

It will then draw the curtain of detraction 

 

To preserve a good name seems important

But then, through whose eyes perceived

Is it not with all we encounter?

And also, with The One, we believe.
