Flowers for You

Location

I was the garden that

you loved in the summer.

The one that you tended to,

nourished,

and picked from.

But when fall came

my leaves began to drop to the ground

and the color drained out of me.

You were sad by the change

but that didn't stop you from letting winter bury me under.

Then when the snow started to melt away

you dug me up and revived me,

and by summer I was your garden again.
