There was no change in this place I call "city",
With the sun and its best friend, humidity.
But all of that came to pass,
When the rain fell and the thunder and lightning clashed,
Just all at the flip of a coin.

At the toss of a dime,
Everything seemed just fine,
From the train on the tracks,
To the luggage on our backs.
T 'was only until one man, deprived of almost everything but family and words,
Stood on his cane and urged,
to share what he had left.
For him, guilt and shame was felt,
And within him such pain was dealt.
So I kept him in my prayers and mind alike,
So that he may win his fight.

At the throw of a quarter,
I realize that life gets broader and broader,
I see this as I move along the train,
Waving to friends that gain,
The similar tools that they will carry, like me, for the future.
I see my family, my brother, sister, mother, father,
Who have all helped me in taking me farther.
I see also the people beside me and each other,
Who will one day respect each other, like brothers.

With the birth of opportunities by the passing days,
And the rise of fatalities coming towards our individual ways.
Good days, for all, will come and end,
Just as bad days will come, oh, your reality they will bend.
But we all must take a stand,
Against ourselves once in a while.
This is our grand trial,
If we are to revive another man,
Anyone can start this at any time, at any point,
even at the flip of a coin.
