Flight

Spreading my wings, flying away

To the future, away from today

Soaring along the way

Forgetting the past, because it can't stay

Bright yellow to a dark gray

Continually gliding day by day

Over mountaintops and bays

There's no price for this beauty anyone can pay

I will fly anywhere if I may

I'm still going to fly, no matter what you say

You can say ye, or you can say nay

My wings will float anyway

Freedom like this can't be served on a tray

Going through clouds and sunrays

Exceeding farther than yesterday

Getting more accomplished and everything is okay

My persistence will never decay

I will keep flying, even if my wings are fray.
