Flesh and Stone

Love me for as long.

Love me, flesh and stone.

Love me oh so strong.

Don't let me go.

Rip, shread me apart.

Steal my still beating heart.

Easy to vary far.

You broke my heart.

Flesh and stone,

Break my bones,

And leave me breathless.

Take what's mine,

For your own,

And then forget it.

Crush the prestige beneath,

By the skin of my teeth.

I wore my heart on my sleeve.

You ripped it off.

You said you'd protect me,

But instead you did the killing,

Then threw away the body.

Where were the police?

Flesh and stone,

Break my bones,

And leave me breathless.

Take what's mine,

For your own,

And then forget it.

You took my bones for wood,

And burnt up all that you could,

I never thought that you would,

Punish me.
