Flesh and separation ...

Romans 8:35

35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ?

Will trouble, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness,

or danger, or sword?

Flesh and separation

Soothing is the sound of the song called: “bitterness”

It fills all the longings in the search for revenge

Oh flesh! You’re dressed in utmost filthiness

How to get you of the playing field to be forever benched?

Feelings drive you constantly in search of satisfaction

and with both hands you grab what you can get

You beguile the “me” through almost every distraction

And catch me every day in your encircling net

To escape from you is impossible as you’re in my old heart

Your deceit is close to impeccable in disguise almost perfect

You cuffed me to impalpable by stroking my failing smarts

In Christ it is now possible to separate you from God’s Spirit
