The Flesh

Psalm 78:38-39     New English Translation

38 Yet He is compassionate. He forgives sin and does not destroy.

He often holds back his anger, and does not stir up his fury.

39 He remembered that they were made of flesh,

and were like a wind that blows past and does not return.

The Flesh

A regenerated life as such does not alter the weakness of my flesh

I am crucified with Christ, I am, but my flesh can’t pass this test

The Holy Spirit dwells in me, but that does not remove the weakness

I believe, but I often trip, while serving, and it interferes with my rest

My flesh lives the old nature and perseveres to never give up

The flesh acts through my worldly mind and is influenced as such

The flesh in an emotional state wants to control my inner-being

The flesh shows my unwillingness to love with unconditional-gentle touch
