Flaws and All

Location

When I look at myself in the mirror, I see a very unearthly creature.

I see small eyes with black holes for pupils and spaced-out yet bushy eyebrows.

I see a cute little puggle nose with an aquamarine stud on the left side...

but when I smile, it expands to look almost like an arrow pointing downward.

I see my plump lips that reveal a quasi-dimple when I smile.

I see a cluster of freckles underneath my left eye, a few beauty marks on my right cheek, and two freckles on my lower lip.

I see my stick-skinny stature and my severely pigeon-toed feet.

I see myself as an animal, ready to fight and scream and yell and kick when I have to.

I see myself as a storm, raging with all kinds of emotions of fury and anger and hunger and desperation and sadness.

I see myself as a flower, mentally growing and growing until hopefully, I reach the sky.

When I look at myself in the mirror, I see a girl who is wild and untamed and crazy, both physically and mentally.

I see a girl who just wants to let go of everything and be happy and free.

I see a girl who just wants to love herself.
