Beauty is skin deep

For some that may be true

For others its not how they look

But what they do

Or who they are

 

For me its neither

No I'm not ugly,

Or bad,

But what makes me flawless

Is what's great about you!

 

Its a strange trait.

 

But I could be

Mean,

Cynical,

Critical,

And negative too.

 

But no.

 

I am

Optimitic,

Idealistic,

Admiring,

And positive me

 

Everyone is so quick to see the faults

But I see the beauty

No one is perfect,

But why should the worst catch my eye?

When there is so much to put a twinkle in it

 

Because I see

 

My mother's strong-will

My dad's humor

My siblings' energy

My best friend's kindness

My classmates' uniqueness

 

My perfection isn't what you see

But what I see in you

I want to the best in others

Because it makes me their flawless features

Will make for a less flawed tomorrow
