Flawless, Not Perfect

Flawless, that's what I am

Perfect is what I am not

For "perfect" implies that I would ever conform to others' idea of "perfect"

"Perfect" implies that everyone should be like me

Alas, none of this is true

"Flawless", however, is a different story

To be flawless is to recognize imperfections

To know that these imperfections are what make you flawless

"Flawless" implies that you don't need to change

Because you're already perfect

in a non-perfect way

And so, I know I am flawless

Even if not perfect

How true these words, how poetic your justice. If ever there was a flawless description of perfect, it I have not seen. Great poem, Myles123.
