Flawless

The hardships were rough.

Many days were tough.

Tears fell this past year.

For I lost two people who were very dear.

Two dads lost within two seasons.

I became stronger for these two reasons.

One to drugs and one to divorce.

I still cannot help but feel remorse.

Life goes on.

I am still going strong.

Showing everyone what I am capable of.

Many hardships I have overcome.

Born a preemie;

Two ounces below two pounds.

But I am in college,

Look at me now!

The financial stress is hard to bare.

I will overcome it, this I swear.

Don’t judge a book by its cover is the saying;

The meaning is true; I ain’t playing!

My hard work, my determination

I think I should get a standing ovation!

Through my hardships I do believe

It has brought out the flawless in me
