Flashing thoughts

Flashing thoughts

Matthew 5:15-16

15 People do not light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they can see your good deeds and give honor to your Father in heaven.

Now here is one

that bothers quite a bit.

It interrupts the train of thought

and very often prayer.

Are these reflections now

from darkness deep within,

powers out of control it seems

that are taking at will to slay me?

Pictures that come to mind

which I dissect at will.

Driven by imaginations

which rush through my structure.

Jumping to conclusions

that satisfy my fill.

Levels of depravity

that drag me to self-destruction.
