Fixing the System

Location

Extremely sarcastic professor Wants every student to impress her She twists the rules just as she chooses And grades the papers as she muses She sends them to the supervisor Who admits he’s none the wiser His rules are even more convoluted And sometimes students are excluded Professors’ attempts are all for naught Even for tenure that’s highly sought Education should be great But it’s not that way in every state Students end up at their mercy From California to New Jersey Across the land, professors grumble Every time their students stumble We’re going for a downhill tumble Our education system has fumbled We should make the system right For students who toil day and night We should make a stance To give our students a second chance If we get the system right Then our futures will be bright
