Fireworks

A lone white star falls up,
And explodes in a nova of color.
It leaves a nebula of grey
In a deep blue universe.
A golden rocket launches from a lake into space,
Vanishes into blackness,
And explodes like "Challenger"
In a ball of fire.
A red comet with a white tail.
Its icy core shatters blue,
And rains down on the Earth.
A shiny rope shoots up
Hangs across a star
To dangle a golden chandelier,
Lights shiver, sizzle like bacon, fizzle out.
A bouquet of green flowers burst into bloom - BOOM!
A red spat of ink on black canvas,
Leaves ears ringing
And smoke spiders spinning in the starry night sky.
