Florida is no vacation spot,
It is hell and it is hot.
My sole friend is the AC
And it is not as friendly as it should be.

My school should have been prepared for
The humidity and heat after the rain pour
Instead though, we sweat
Water fountains broken, our mouths longing to be wet.

The heat of everyone's breath is stinking
Lingering around me, sinking.
It adds to the air's moisture and my irritation.
Why doesn't someone fix it in this school's administration?

My brain is frying.
Classwork? I'm trying.
Unfortunately, I cannot concentrate now
Why teachers don't understand it, they will never know how.

This climate is no fun.
This heat needs to be done.
At this point, I have but one plea
Sunshine state, can you breathe cool air down on me?
