Financial Aid: A Blessing

When you're

sitting in your kitchen

eating by candlelight to

save money on your

electric bill

When you're

spooning out ramen

from a styrofoam cup

When you're

wearing a shirt

with a hole in the armpit

because

money's just so damn tight

When you're

logging into your student account

and seeing it again

your tuition bill

somewhere up in the thousands

When you're

feeling hopeless

wondering why you're here

what the point of it all is

Remember--

hunger pains subside

and this is only a temporary

burden to bear

but the education you're receiving

is just so damn priceless

and worth every moment

Treasure it

And pray for your impending relief
