Finally Free

In my brick tower

I gaze upon the others

Those who frolic

And let Happiness find them

Oh how I envy

Instead I am here

Letting the heat salsa

Across my skin while voices

Beneath beneath me become a blur

Trying to understand the distant

Philosophy of laxity

I look at my reflection

And see a braided rope

Strangling me, two marks

Oblique around my pursed

Lips and two eyes glistening

Like the ocean surgace

But neither a smile nor

A glimpse of Happiness

I blink, I merely just blink

And there he is, my prince

I take one last look at my reflection

And at that moment, I take down my hair

Just before he could say my name twice,

Finally breathing, finally free
