Fight

I don't want you to think it's over

This is just the beginning

Let repetition kill the potency

Of the demons’ chant “we’re winning”

Listen just one more time

To a message poured in blood

Put your hand over mine

Your skin paper thin and fine

Listen to this war cry

We're too consistent in regret and tragedy

As our flesh becomes our own chains

As we walk around with open wounds

Pretending we're surviving

As always night feasts on the will

And day is a pathetic delusion

That lets us pretend we're still breathing

As we drown and pull each other deeper

But I don't want you to think it's over

This is just the beginning

The end of a battle that starts the war

A war for our souls as we fight

Screaming and tearing shadows apart with bare hands

Our minds reflect the world

A place filled with hate starved of light

The bloody demons without and within

They never die, so why should we?
