Feelings of Depression

Location

It’s not that simple,

Trying to see the good again.

The grey days just seem to blur together,

In a never ending stream of sadness.

Have you ever felt so sad that you can’t cry?

It’s like knives trying to carve their way out.

And then when you do cry,

It feels like acid, burning your face and eyes.

Just trying to survive in a world

That never seems to understand.

They say:

Get over it—

I don’t hide because I hate you,

I hide because I hate myself.

Please see that I am trying,

Because if you give up, then I might too.
