Feared

Sun, 10/25/2015 - 23:53 -- smulkey

I am a survivor,

A survivor of hands that hate.

I fear no one,

For I have met my tormentor.

I have heard words,

Words spoken from a snakes tongue,

"You are nothing"

"You are useless"

"You are weak"

I am not weak.

I am not useless.

And I most definitely deserve a title,

A title higher than "nothing".

I am a force,

A force of nature.

I fear no obstacle,

As I know I can overcome all.

I am an adventurer,

Seeking to see all the world.

I fear no closed doors,

As they Lead to my future,

To my fortune,

To my fate.

I am a woman.

I am a beauty.

I am feared.

I am feared by the very society,

That tells me I am weak.

That tells me I am supposed to be dainty.

That teaches me to be fragile

That tells me my strength an my womanhood,

Cannot coexist.

They who dare to tell me,

To back down,

Have every reason to be fearful.

I am awake.

I am aware.

I am not afraid.

But they,

Yes they,

They should be.

Be afraid.

Be fearful.

But do not underestimate.

For I am,

I am everything you teach me not to be.

I am a survivor.

I am a force.

I am an adventurer.

I am strong.

I am woman,

And I will make sure,

You hear me roar.
