Fear to Courage: Becoming the Adult I Ought to be

Tue, 06/25/2019 - 14:16 -- axg1362

Days on the playground

Nights reading fairytales,

Feeling like queen of the mound

Until I hit the ground

Suddenly my fails

Surround with no avail.

Fear of life overcomes me.

Growing up, now I see

I’m not as strong as I thought I’d be.

Thankfully I find

A Power that can transform my mind.

            Growing up, now I see

He is stronger than I thought I’d be.

He picked me up,

He filled my cup.

Before long, I began to grow

With courage being a trait I finally showed.

Finally it was me,

and I was free,

becoming the adult I ought to be.
