Fear of being a Woman

So long as we are being honest, I need
you to recognize me as something more
than a walking aquarium of improbabilities;

Rather, identify me as mysterious as the ocean -
nothing sinks into me without my knowledge,
nor my consent.

What happens when the lights no longer
shine under the doorways does not
pertain to you now, nor will it ever.

So long as we are being honest, I need
you to recognize anything done unto me without
my permission is your fault, not mine.
