Father.

A little boy

Forced to cry.

Dehydrated

from lack of joy.

What did he do wrong

Perhaps it was his father's guilt.

Again he cried.

Reaching out

No one heard him.

A pact sealed

By the blood in his veins.

After the boy

Could bare no longer

Moving his battered body.

An angel came to be

Embracing him.

Escape was never so close

Yet so far away.

How such

Loneliness brings

Pain

As a child.

Strength

also building

The boy

Safe,Healthy

And becoming a man

For there

Are people who care.
