Family Tree
My Family is like a tree
Roots, as Ancestry
They are the beginning
Providing the vitalizing
Living water
For the coming youth
So naïve
And parched
From them
We All
Are ever taught to grow
In the Son’s light
The Trunk
Our support
And fortification
Grandparents continuing the irrigation
To a younger generation
Prayers as Bark, our protection
The Branches
Parents who nurture
Distributing,
The Life as best they can
To Us
The Leaves
The ever-budding children
Thirsty
They who receive drink in
Less continue to sin
End
Falling
Falling
Fallen
Lifting up their eyes
This poem is about:
Me
My family
