Family

Ephesians 3:14-15

14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

God's Family and mine ...

A gift from God that changes some … with every breath I take.

The state of heart … grief, pain and joy for Heaven’s sake.

It started out with belonging … to a family when I was born.

Then I grew up and met my wife and we started one of our “own”.

We moved away far away … from the family we belonged

But the ties that bound us … stretched 10,000 miles and beyond.

It floors me just to think … that the ties that bind us now

Cannot stretch a few hundred miles without a screeching sound.

That sound that rings into my heart with fears that it may break.

Oh my God! Just help us now …for our family is at stake.

My family has grown through the years … in Him plus additions.

A son and daughters in law … and 13 grandchildren to mention

We all belong together now … don’t think it does not matter,

For God loves families somehow … for He was raised in one together.

Did He pick His own mom and dad … to receive care and perfection?

Were they like mom and me … with flaws and cracks to match it?

In our lives God picked for us … the children and to raise such.

He expects us to do our best … so as a family He can praise us.
