False Feeling

Boy, I’ll tell you.. Love is a false feeling

You ever meet somebody you immediately fall in love with,

Or you care for so much,  you can’t stand when they’re absent

What about that being who’s just as loony as you,

supplying you reason not feel like a fool

Who has given you reason not to feel like a dullard..

because with their heart, they have suddenly made you entire

Somebody who takes every motion of out your control center,

Like an airbender they breathe life through you,

Then there’s the climax, these feelings of addiction

The certainty that you just won’t live if you are not with them

This delusion that you both will get married, have kids and hopefully,

one day you’ll be buried.. beside them

Then the arguments come, the tears, the hurt, the scars, the lies

You find yourself beginning to hate their existence

And did I mention, the lack of love you feel when you are with them

The stupid things they say just makes you want them to go away

The knowledge they use to have seems so much farther than it did yesterday

And looking into their eyes has never felt this empty

You find yourself standing on this thin piece of ice

Still you can’t stand to think of how their leaving your life

The relationship is dying before your eyes

Now here you are thinking about all those nights,

he couldn’t wait to be your husband and you his wife

Or his husband or her wife whichever way your story flights

Love isn’t really a false feeling,

We just become immune to people's souls and this fairytale vision

Change is inevitable, sometimes to the signs you just have to listen

Every person you fall in love with is a reflection of you

Outgrowing the old you, leaves you to outgrow them too

Love ain’t really a false feeling, it’s just an unavoidable part of life

Where you will meet your soulmate a numerous amount of times
