A Falling Leaf

Gently floating down,

Gliding past lavender crowns,

Down, down, falling,

Brushing past flowers, and whispering,

Sweet, sweet words

of love, joy and pain;

Exchanging memories

with the wind who sails by,

ever flowing.

Down below,

A serene lake, watching,

Rippling with anticipation,

for its descent.

Below, far underneath,

fair fish gliding

in the blue waters,

watching waiting,

silently appealing,

for that piece of afterlife,

a falling leaf.
