Fake Strength

I've been strong for too long.

Sorrow and pain pour down on my heart

in red sheets.

The flood waters rise

and sharp ragged blades

tear at the gates.

Soon the walls crumble

under pressure

and the waters erode

everythng in its path.

But, I will keep trudging along

in this lonesome flooded life

until i have nothing left,

and the sorrow drowns me

taking what's left of my life.
