Faith perception

Hebrews 11:1-211 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.

What you can hear and perceive.

What you may see and touch.

Does that produce faith in man?

Is faith made of such?

Is faith produced by man?

Is it built stone by stone?

Or is it a gift to enjoy

as in trust you’re walking home?

Should it make you feel good?

Does it instill hope in need?

Is it not such to feel in all

a gift with God’s speed?

Faith cannot be touched by flesh

or can’t be seen by the eye.

Neither will you hear its voice

no matter how hard you try.

Faith resides beyond your comfort zone

in caves where doubts reside.

Where darkness stretches out its hands

to force all compromise.

Can you really possess such faith

or just touch it when you are weak?

As Christ comes to help you through

when you are scared and meek.
