Faith Before the Flight

She cried herself to sleep every night

Thinking that nothing was going right.

She looked for inspiration in low places

But her tears kept running the same old races.

She was ready to draw the line

Because she knew everybody else would get along without her just fine.

But then one night she tried a different plan

And opened up the best-selling book known to man.

None of the words made sense to her

But inside, she felt something stir.

She then heard a voice that wasn't audible but it was the loudest she'd ever heard

And she knew who she wanted to see, so the line was drawn.

And she flew like a bird.
