Fairytales My Dear

In books I've lived a thousand lives, In pages counted countless lies,In paper found the truth and cried,To reading of a love that's blind.  The lives of those famed princesses, With struggles high above the rest, With gowns and fine embroidery, Became a vanity that troubled me. The times have changed for little girls,They long for more than pretty pearls. A twisted reality they all believe, Can a princess let herself be free? For the Disney spirit to truly thrive, They must fight to bring their dreams to life, And remember that their smiles glow, With way more power as they grow.
