Fairy Tale

I hear the words you say but I let them go

your apologies are in the air

but I won't let go of the pain in my chest or

the words I have heard because even though she's gone

the memory stained me

Your whispers now turn the screams, yet here I stand

hearing my name, bringing me back.

I finally see your face you stole my heart and

remembering that day takes my breath away

and even now, when we don't touch

I feel your heart race

But whether I stay or go

now depends on nothing more than

if you are my fairy tale or

if I should just wake up
