Fairy

the night is beautiful; hauntingly so

graceful is the moon dancing at midnight

and stars swaying to and fro,

smiling softly with enchanted delight,

and the wind whispered through the trees,

the might trunks sighed

as Queen Mab was carried by a breeze

peaceful she was as she did glide

carrying many a dream

for the sleeping children of to-night

making them dream of cold cream

and castles of towering height

she smiled upon their sleeping faces

as they dreamt of better places
