Failure to Fear
"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself",
so famously proposed by President Roosevelt.
This quote at face value appears quite clever,
although, I simply must say, however,
that certain concepts are easier said than done,
and it appears as though with this particular one,
while it may sound as easy as breathing air,
attempts usually result in resounding failure.
There's typically not only a failure to fail to fear,
but also a great underlying fear to fail.
It is this fear to fail that, for me,
results in many a missed opportunity.
However, what I find that helps me most,
when the prospect of failure looms like a ghost,
at my lowest low and my highest high:
the thought "you can never succeed if you never really try."
