Failure ...

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV)The Greatest Gift13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Failure

Oh! my son, you work so hard,

you’re distracted by much serving.

Why do you crave works so much

and are governed by outward matter?

Can’t you fulfill God’s orders quietly

without drawing attention

to yourself and the works

as the Lord gets lost in the latter.

Confusion causes unrest, you know

and never seeks the will of God.

You labor according to your ideas

for carnality craves works.

You fight a losing battle somehow

and as long as you are busy

you won’t see the trees for the forest

and in vain your “will” will smirk.

If you can’t stand the heat, you know

get out of the kitchen.

Well maybe it is on fire

burning to the ground.

To give your body a sacrifice

is totally unasked for

for if there is no charity

your works are failure bound.
