Faceless Unseen
Do I look like
A child
A person
A number
A thing?
Loudly I cried against the injustice
With fist raised high I screamed out loud
But they did not hear me.
With fire and storm
Deepest darkening cracks within
I stood before them
And they did not see me.
Their oath to keep and protect
The futures of the children of strangers
Broken, and they did not care about me.
But when we marched
A peaceful brigade
They tightened security
Because they feared to feel me.
So then what am I?
A child
A person
A number
Or thing?
