faceless

Location

Humans
Vile Beings
Ones who judge
Based on face and features
Rather than actions and words

I'm left to wonder
Why must a face define us
Why must the size of our nose
Or the imperfections on our cheeks
Tell our story

We should learn
Learn to look past things
Learn that weird eyes or funny teeth
Mean nothing in the grand scheme of things

But as humans
We are stubborn, air headed
We are vindictive and demanding

But most of all
As humans
We never learn
That a face
Is nothing more
Than a face
