FACE

Hello,

there's a face up here

with eyes that shed

tears

of fear

disappearing-slowly.

just like the man

who is Holy

i am

invisible

i might as well be

how you see me

a headless body

curves.

up and down the mountain

that i am

suddenly screeching to a stop

like a clock

broken

a tick with no tock

a key but no-lock

hello,

there's a face up here

with eyes that stare

back into those

of fear, itself.

i'm beginning

to reassemble

myself

as i pick up old books

from atop a shelf.

that you made me

shaded like a big tree

made it so that no one

could see

the beauty that

only-some see

when they take a

peek

at the end of the

story

i don't know why

you think you can

read faster than i-

write.

" you're just my type"

boy- don't cast me

as something i can't be

i am not A.B.O or positive whatever

don't step to this storm

if you can't bear the weather

oh, you're clever

to think that you know me

when you can't even sew me

the seeds it takes

to grow, together.

hello,

there's a face up here

with ears that'll listen

to sounds as

soft as a kittens fur

or as loud as a jack hammer

but why don't you?

over and over i repeat the words

annoying.

like the call of a bird.

hammer that.

hello,

there's a face up here

with lips that'll speak

words you've never heard

until they've left my body

"girl, i'd do you- like you were my hobby"

man. who are you!?

seriously.

the worst.line.EVER.

can't you be more creative-

give me a game to play with

as you listen,

you will not shake this

or break this

because i made this

hello,

there's a face up here

made for you, my dear

when your vision clears

and the shade disappears

and you see-

my head...on my body

smiling so effortlessly

Hello,

There's a face up here
