The eyes he holds you
The eyes he holds you with, your red lipstick,
Nicotine fingers draped summer's leather
The rain found structure the candle's flame flicks.
Stepping in wet paint; your drippy leasure.
Lusty tears for the flowers in your head
Pieces of me gathers in retrospect,
Asleep through Winter's noon, no stich or thread
Shadow's dancing shadow - Summer's expect.
Distracted with why-nots and might-as wells.
Removed the black mirror drape to find the rain,
The clouds disappear as they hang themselves
The flowers will die and grow red again.
In one cold breath, Spring and Summer Ended
The best intentions never intended.
