Eyeliner

Location

The eyeliner my mom bought me

The eyeliner I got at age twelve

The eyeliner she said would make me pretty

The eyeliner she said I'm ugly without

I started wearing eyeliner

The eyeliner that made me pretty

The eyeliner that enhanced my blue eyes

The eyeliner I got complimented on

The eyeliner I reapplied throughout the day

The eyeliner that took hours to scrub off

The eyeliner I decided to just leave on

The eyeliner that dripped every time I cried

The eyeliner that dripped a lot

The eyeliner I forgot to wear when I visited my mom that one time

The eyeliner she yelled at me for not wearing

The eyeliner she reminded me I'm ugly without

The eyeliner she lent me

The eyeliner I borrowed from her

The eyeliner I had to put on

I continued wearing eyeliner

The eyeliner that came in different colours

The eyeliner that always matched my outfit

The eyeliner I became obsessed with

The eyeliner I felt hideous without

...

The eyeliner I lost one day

The eyeliner I cried over when I couldn't find it

The eyeliner missing from my face at school the next day

The eyeliner nobody noticed was gone

The eyeliner that wasn't such a big deal

The eyeliner I found when I got home that day

The eyeliner I realized I didn't need

I stopped wearing eyeliner

The eyeliner I'm flawless without
