Exonerated: Before I Met Him

She DEFILED herself!  Body pains, sunken eyes, flaky, sore, bleeding lips and her body as cold as ice. She chugged the water to silence the rumbling of her stomach as she walked out the door. She gave all the right answers and was sure to leave a dirty dish around every once in awhile. Leaving everyone believing she was fine. Screeches and nurses filled the surveillanced hospital room on the fifth floor pediatric ward as they shoved one foot of plastic down her throat. She refused her body of the nutrients she told herself she didn't need nor deserved. She had them gripped around her finger believing she was improving. With a swollen face and her fingers shoved down her throat you'll find her crouched over a toilet with the revolting smell of vomit piercing the air.  Bruises and scratches fill her knuckles, but if you lift her sleeves you'll see the fresh wounds of punishment. For not being good enough, skinny enough or pretty enough. "You're fat!" "You're ugly!" Doesn't it always begin this way?  She downed the bottle of pills in anger believing "everyone will be happy the problem child is gone!" Disoriented, poked and pricked she found herself confined to a hospital bed. "You are a failure!"  She thought to herself. She abused her own body to mask the trauma of her inocence being striped right from underneath her!  Yes striped! Her sanity, her childhood...her life taken!  All taken by three people who were supposed to love her!  Who were supposed to protect her!  Instead one of them utter,"that's not how to have sex lie on your back."  She was me!
