Exalted love

I need to feel the breeze
Across my sunlit face
I'm down and out and on my knees
So tired of this place
I beg the good Lord please
Take away my sins
And cleanse me through his righteousness
And make me born again
Ruffled feathers
Stick together
In lieu of rainy weather
Dropping dimes
Like fishing lines
Reminiscing on old times
Love is from the exalted one
Who cast out all our fears
They never said christlikeness would be fun
But it adds on to your years
I left the old me in the ashes
Of a newfound humble way
Now I have obtained the crown
And laid all refuse out to waste
