Everyday America

Everyday fighting, starving, and killing,

Everyday going through the motions,

Where is our American dream?

Where is the promise of a better future?

Those who want school can't afford it,

Those who can afford it take it forgranted.

We worry so much about other countries

What about here at home?

Kids living on streets/hungry at night,

Veterans coming home with no appreciation.

A nation in debt and not just the people,

The government is no better.

Further and further that dream disipates,

Who needs terrorists when we kill our own,

Schools-Malls-Movie theatres they

Have become our new Towers,

Everyday America who are we?
