Everybody Lies

Location

A clear-cut diamond ring,

Fall, winter, summer, spring.

Seasons change,

The birds still sing.

Those lovely hazel eyes,

Lies, disguise,

Another surprise.

Who would have thought,

White lies are still lies,

"I only lied because I don't want to see you cry."

The irony, sobriety,

Ceases to exist.

So much for your consideration,

Skewed misinterpretation.

Let's just face it,

everybody lies.
