Everlasting

Location

You may hate me now,
but I won't forget you.
I hold on to those
Fond memories of
When we were young.

We've been through
So much, only to
Part ways. But, I will
Always you dear. The
You I know and love
and miss.

The you that shared secrets,
That liked the same stories,
That laughed at the same jokes,
That had an appreciation for
The time we spent together.

The you that you cast aside,
That you killed and threw into the water,
Left to drown in your past.

But I will swim the depths
To your icy grave, if it means
That I could see you,
The way you were, again.

People may change,
But memories are the same now and always.
And it is because of those memories
That old friendships are everlasting.
