One Autumn day, I stumbled upon
A small leaf in a tree
As red as an ember, as yellow as the sand
The leaves all around
Were floating to the ground
Yet this leaf
This one little leaf
Stayed, everlasting
Winter rattled in
Shaking the very foundation of the Earth
Yet this leaf
This one little leaf
Stayed, everlasting
When Spring arose
The rain started to fall
Leaves all around were
Glistening green with dew
Yet this leaf
This one little leaf
Stayed, everlasting
I remember this leaf
This red and yellow gem
Throughout the rest of my days
I remember how it stayed
Against the rain, snow and hardship
Eternal and everlasting
