Ethereal Palette

The golden hue of a time forgotten

 Silver shades of today,

Together they meld into the generations of my family.

Charcoal shadows give character to the night

While white light bathes the day in hope.

Blues and greens; yellows and reds

Though opposite in theory,

Dance hand in hand through picturesque landscapes.

These colors were not decided by you and me

Such combinations are beyond any we could muster.

We are simply here to stare in awe

Reveling in it all.

Inhaling the air,

Breathing in one another's presence,

For people are the most important color of life.
