Et Pax Dei: The Peace of God

Location

A Pier
United States

Many misty mornings I CAST into the deep sea my net,

Thinking...perhaps, that ALL my efforts might pay my debt.

Unappeased, it is only YOUR peace and love that can fullfill.

My mind is abused by ANXIETY; yet, Peace comes, and hope distills

Until Anxiety returns and ON my own my weak body would fail.

But Broken sighed, "trust HIM." And His Peace covered my fail as a veil.

I shall not cast my nets, BECAUSE my effort shreds, as thin veneer before Him-

Who sustains completely. HE He breathes life and death: sovereignty.

This unfathomable deity CARES for me and for what is ahead,

So why do I cast my nets FOR my own catch? he gives me Bread.

I shall not be in want for YOU guide, and provide, and for me you bled.

CAST ALL YOUR ANXIETY ON HIM BECAUSE HE CARES FOR YOU.
